Our Story

Rooted in Burlington, Wisconsin

A family orchard built one tree, one vine, and one harvest at a time.

How It Began

A Farm Named for the Golden Hour

Late Day's Harvest Farms got its name from the hour our family loves most — that last stretch of afternoon light when the orchard glows amber and the day's work slows into something more like gratitude.

What started as a few backyard apple trees has grown into acres of orchard rows and hillside vines just outside Burlington. We still do things the old way: hand pruning, hand thinning, hand picking. It takes longer, but the fruit tastes like it.

Today, three generations work these fields together, and we welcome neighbors and visitors from across southeastern Wisconsin to share in what we grow.

Our Journey

From First Sapling to Full Orchard

The First Trees

Our great-grandparents planted a small stand of apple trees on this land, growing fruit for family and neighbors.

Expanding the Orchard

Pear trees joined the property along the sheltered southern slope, thriving in the warmer microclimate.

Planting the Vines

Grape vines were trained up hillside trellises, adding a late-summer harvest to our growing season.

Opening Our Gates

We opened the farm to u-pick visitors and built our farm stand, sharing the harvest with the wider Burlington community.

Today

Late Day's Harvest Farms continues to grow, guided by the same values that planted that very first tree: patience, care, and community.
